Steve: The Internship program here was awesome.
Chloe: I interned in Newport Beach. I was there for 10 weeks. The first week is PIMCO fundamentals, which is a training program.
Steven: I got to learn about all the different desks and what they do and at the same time develop my knowledge of what financial technology is.
Madalina: It is a great chance to really get to learn more about fixed income and markets from a practical prospective
Chloe: But importantly, it's also about introducing you to PIMCO as firm.
Madalina: You start helping with daily tasks pretty much straight away and at the same time you have the opportunity to work on group projects that will ultimately benefit the broader group.
Chloe: PIMCO really provides you a platform to not only work with the people you're assigned to work with, but to meet others and get exposure to them as well. There were a lot of structured and formal opportunities for networking with senior leaders.
Steve: The HR team did a really good job of planning events for us and outings and taking us paddle boarding which I’ve never done before. It was a great summer all along.
Madalina: The most challenging and rewarding experience as summer intern was the preparation for the mock presentation. We had to present in the front of a group of peers and senior professionals at PIMCO.
Chloe: I got a chance to work with a number of people throughout the summer with a number of different teams and different projects and actually got to travel for client meetings three times during my summer.
Steven: I really had the opportunity to come up with my own process. I was really surprised that they’d kind of listen.
Chloe: I had a great experience both from a professional prospective as well as a personal prospective.
Madalina: And I found it particularly interesting and challenging and fast-paced— and this was exactly what I was looking for in my full-time job.
