Global Summer Internship Program

The PIMCO Global Summer Intern Program is a 10-week, structured program designed to provide a realistic professional and meaningful educational experience. The goal is to offer the unique and challenging opportunity to take an active role in the firm and make an impact on our business.​

Training and Mentoring
Every summer intern begins their role with a formal training program. The PIMCO Fundamentals training program will provide you with the skills, knowledge and relationships that will prepare you for a successful internship. Your informal training will continue throughout your summer at PIMCO – every day in a perpetual learning environment. In addition, you will be teamed with a peer-level professional who will offer guidance and mentorship.

Who can apply?

MBA

  • Open to MBA students during the summer between 1st and 2nd year
  • Pursuing an MBA degree with an emphasis in Finance and Economics or related quantitative/analytical field from an accredited leading business school or university
  • Preference for candidates whose field of study provides exposure to finance/capital markets and macroeconomics or whose business experience and knowledge is aligned with the position
  • Fluent in English. Bilingual with local languages desirable for Europe, Latin America and Asia

Undergraduate

  • Open to undergraduate students during the summer before their expected graduation
  • Candidates of all majors who have a strong interest in financial markets and macroeconomics
  • Minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate GPA, on a 4.0 scale (EMEA minimum 2:1) or equivalent, at an accredited college or university.
  • Fluent in English. Bilingual with local languages desirable for Europe, Latin America and Asia
